Community Task Force Initiative
Community Task Force
At Foundation First, we believe that strong early childhood systems are built with the voices of those who live, work, and raise children in our communities. That’s why we established the Community Task Force—a collaborative body of parents, childcare providers, educators, business leaders, health professionals, and local partners who work together to shape and strengthen early childhood care and education (ECCE) in our region.
The Community Task Force plays a vital role in:
- Identifying Gaps and Needs: Gathering input from diverse communities to ensure services are equitable and responsive to families across urban, suburban, and rural areas.
- Informing Strategy: Providing real-time feedback and guidance on local challenges, opportunities, and policy initiatives that impact young children and families.
- Driving Innovation: Collaborating on solutions that improve access to high-quality care, strengthen the workforce, and increase family engagement.
- Promoting Local Leadership: Empowering community members to lead change and influence decision-making in the ECCE system.
Through quarterly meetings, community outreach, and ongoing dialogue, the Community Task Force ensures that Foundation First’s work is rooted in lived experience and aligned with the unique strengths and challenges of each locality we serve.
Together, we are building a stronger foundation for every child, every family, and every community.

- build a network to better support children, caregivers, educators and our community.
