How PDG-R Funding Supports Data Capacity in Ready Region North Central
Foundation First utilizes Preschool Development Grant Renewal (PDG-R) funding to build and strengthen data capacity across our region. These investments help us better understand, communicate, and improve early childhood services for families, providers, and communities. PDG-R funding supports a wide range of allowable activities, including:
- Staffing for Data Leadership
Funds may be used to hire or contract with individuals to lead and support data capacity efforts across the region, including coverage for salary, hourly wages, and employer-provided benefits. - Contracted Support
Contractor expenses hired to assist with defining data needs, leading data strategies, or supporting implementation efforts. - Technology & Tools
Software used to share data visualization tools that are supported when directly related to data capacity efforts. - Supplies & Administrative Costs
Office supplies and direct administrative costs related to staff working on data capacity efforts. - Travel & Meetings
Travel and meeting costs are covered to support data dissemination and engagement efforts within RRNC. - Outreach & Dissemination
Printed materials, outreach activities, and family stipends to encourage participation are regarding data sharing. - Stipends for Engagement
Stipends may be used to support data collection from families and other stakeholders.
- Professional Development
Training, courses, workshops, and coaching directly related to data capacity building to support staff, contractors, families, providers,etc.
Through this funding, we are equipped to improve how we collect, analyze, and use data to inform and strengthen early childhood systems that benefit all children and families in our region.
