Our Coaching Services
VQB5 programs focus on improving educator-child interactions, as measured by Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS®). Foundation First, the lead agency for Ready Region North Central (RRNC), is pleased to work with ECCEs to determine coaching needs based on their CLASS Observations.
We are working with the following organizations to ensure targeted coaching for programs.
Programs will share their preferences and needs with RRNC, who will connect them with the best coaching partners.
Professional Development
Foundation First is proud to offer early childhood programs in our region with trainings and professional development opportunities focused on improving quality interactions. In Virginia’s Quality Measurement and Improvement system, VQB5, quality interactions are measured through the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS®) tool.
To prepare educators and program administrators to understand the CLASS tool, we offer Foundational Overview trainings and several other trainings to support early childhood educators to understand how the tool measures quality teaching practices.
